If My Family Doesn't Like It, I Don't Use It!
While I was perfecting my recipes, making them at home with my family, if there was an ingredient that my family didn't like I switched it to something they did like. Feel free to do the same with my recipes. It's silly to cook something you know your family won't like. If your family doesn't like curry powder, don't cook with curry powder.
